Combining the dynamism of the practical with the power of the intuitive to enrich and enlighten our lives.
Kat Tansey is a magical storyteller who shares her soul, expands our minds, and reveals to us our inner wisdom.
An innovative educator and award winning author, she is passionate about promoting the Empowering Arts of
Change, Meditation, and Sleep.
She is an inspirational teacher who early in her career trained thousands of people and consulted with over fifty
corporations to help them meet the challenges of change. Her first book, Winning the Change Game, reflected
lessons learned from twenty years in the corporate world as a training and change management consultant.
Kat’s second book, Choosing to Be: Lessons in Living from a Feline Zen Master, is the story of how she overcame
depression after losing her successful consulting practice when she was struck down by Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.
Choosing to Be was awarded the 2008 Independent Publisher’s Bronze Medal for Visionary Fiction, and has been
highly praised by Thom Hartmann, distinguished radio commentator and lifelong meditator, as one of the best
books on meditation he has ever read. A 2nd edition of Choosing to Be is being published by Findhorn Press later
this year, and the sequel, Finding the Path of Freedom: the Legacy of the Feline Zen Master, is due in early 2011.
Kat spent much of 2009 researching insomnia to resolve her own sleep issues, and she recently released Insomnia
Relief Recipes, her e-book that educates people about sleep and how to become confident sleepers without using
drugs. She is now developing teleseminars to support the book.
As a result of her own profound experiences with personal change and helping individuals cope with their transitions,
Kat was named the Exceptional Wisdom scholar on Personal Change in early 2009. She is collaborating with Dave
Carpenter, Exceptional Wisdom scholar on Peak Performance, to develop an e-book and teleseminar series about
embracing change in order to prosper in difficult times.
Empowering and promoting women has always been a significant part of Kat’s journey, and she is now focusing that
passion on collecting the wisdom of midlife women. Her weekly talk show, Finding Magic in Midlife, allows her to
interview and discuss in depth lessons to be learned from a wide variety of midlife women. Kat is building an archive
of these interviews and developing a series of programs to pass this wisdom on to current and future generations
of women.
